I joined the tech and software industry during the start-up boom! Now I find myself as the HR Manager of Jonas Software. I enjoy the people aspect of my role and love the exposure of interacting with different business leaders and employees across Jonas Software. Jonas continues to grow, and every day comes with a different set of challenges. Enjoying what you do is so important, and the feeling of having accomplished something at the end of the day is something that keeps me going.
I believe women are making their presence known in our industries. My network consists of women in Tech, and the hustle is real! When recruiting for tech roles, we have witnessed that women are more likely to get hired once in the pipeline. The challenge is getting them there. That said, I am glad that we have initiatives such as ‘The Herstory’ campaign, inspiring women to click on our stories and apply to our roles.
Outside of work, I enjoy reading a good book, Japanese comics, and binge-watching shows in languages such as French, Turkish, and my recent obsession Korean. Yes, I read the subtitles!
My advice is to share your stories of success or defeat; it does not matter. You never know how your story can help someone else!
