Breakdown

May 21st Service Pack

Empower ME (EME)

  • Resolved an issue in EME where members could add a credit card with an expiration date earlier in the current year. Card expiration is now correctly validated against both the month and year, preventing already-expired cards from being saved.
  • Resolved the issue where Members using Apple iOS were not able to download the Calendar file and add it to their Apple Calendar

Compete

  • In Compete there are a few places where clubs are able to upload word doc files as templates: agreements, online agreements, etc.  In all of these locations, the ability to upload older style word documents will be disabled (old style = file formats without ‘x’ in the format name, ie doc/dot, new style = docx/dotx). Only the newer file format will be allowed going forward.
  • Resolved an issue where the Locker Status report (Back Office > Reports > Members > Lockers) displayed every historical assignment for each locker instead of only the current assignment. The report now correctly lists a single row per locker reflecting the current assignment.

API

  • Additional fields added to the request parameters of the api/v3/changerequest/updatepersonalinformation method. These fields are “SourceID”, “Status” and “Gender”
  • Addressed an issue in the V2 API where requests that did not specify clubs could return check-in and customer data beyond the permissions granted to the caller’s certificate.

The following release items were tested by our Quality Assurance Team and were released into Compete on Wednesday, April 22nd, 2026, at 7:00 AM EST.

Compete Updates
  • In Back Office > Data Entry > Products > POS Buttons under the Advanced Search tab, the “Training” option has been changed to “Package”.
  • Locker Status report now reports accurately when back dated.
  • Notes set to “Alert at Nursery Check In/Out” now display the alert note properly.
  • When running the Sales Over Range report, the Employee filter is now working correctly.
  • When running the Members Terminated by Reason report, selecting a Reason Filter now functions properly without error.
  • When Running the Income By Account Type Accrual report, the “Show each club separately” filter is now working correctly.
  • When running the Check In History by Date report, when Selecting “Set tags from report results”, there is no longer an error.
  • The GL Export now correctly reflects the post date for deferred revenue entries.
  • When changing or adding new Membership Plans in back office, the user can now add Agreement Templates without issue.
  • In Back Office > Billing > Send Billing > Resubmit Billing > Enhanced Filtering options are now present in the Resubmit Billing workflow, similar to the ones seen when running the original Billing Event.
Compete on the Go (COG) Updates
  • When using COG to update branding for EME, the Theme button is now displaying and working properly.
  • User is able to select “Configure Global JOL 2.0” with no error and successfully complete the JOL branding.
JoinOnline (JOL) 2.0
  • When selling agreements through JOL, the agreement effective date now matches the agreement sale date.
  • Clients with a large number of available plans will now experience faster page load times.
API Enhancements
  • New V3 API method call(s) for Employee Creation.
  • API “getemployees” now includes Email Address as a search parameter.
IRIS AI Chat
  • IRIS is back in Compete, and even better than before. IRIS gives your team a faster way to get answers and guidance while they work.
    • IRIS can help with common how-to questions such as updating a member’s credit card, unenrolling a member from a class, and understanding standard Compete workflows.
    • For the best results, ask clear and specific questions. More detailed prompts help IRIS return faster, more useful guidance.
    • IRIS does not retain previous conversations across chats or sessions and does not have access to live database information, member records, or account-specific details.
